To improve yourself, you might need to make changes in your habit or your daily schedule or to add some amazing moments in your life.

50+ things to Let Go Before Your Next Birthday
1. Let go of anything that takes away your happiness and a better version of you
We are made to pursue greatness and to give our best of our abilities. Anything which is not helping us to improve or anything which takes away our happiness needs to be swept away. Happiness is important in life and can help in self-improvement.

2. Let go of the burden by other people
Helping others is good, even we all are connected in one or another way. But, don’t let the other people’s burden rule and consume your life. Help others to an extent such that it doesn’t harm you. Help people to know how can they help themselves.

3. Let go of what others think about you
This is quite common among all of us, we all tend to think about getting judged by other people. But the fact is, people don’t judge us in actual as much we assume. And even if they do, why you care? I have heard these lines somewhere –
“Too many people are working hard on things they don’t love, to spend money they don’t’ have, to buy things they don’t need, to impress people they don’t like…”
Ask yourself, why?

4. Let go of being someone
Every single human on this planet has its characteristics and properties. (s)he has its callings and self blessings, (s)he is here for some unique reasons and aim. So, stop trying to copy others, you’re already a masterpiece, you just have to come to it.
I have seen, people have almost forgotten to live with ease, like those who are skinny want to get some fat, those who are fatty want to lose fat. Those who have curls want to get them straight and those who have straight hairs want to get them curly. This is the problem with human beings, we are not happy with what we have.

5. Let go of avoiding your problems
Avoiding or escaping a problem is a common practice these days. But, I see problems as opportunities, problems let us improve ourselves or to know ourselves more deeply. People believe sweeping the problems under the rug is a healthy way but nothing could be further from the truth. You won’t be able to learn and grow if you’re not giving yourself a pause, then reflect and trying to find a practical solution to your problem(s).
6. Let go of the regrets
Once in awhile every person makes a mistake and (s)he might feel regret for it, a few people overcome the regret in a short period while others take longer. Regret is like a slow poison if you’ll consume it for long, it’ll kill you. You’re not alone who have made a mistake but if it’s taking your sleep away, it’s bad for your health.

7. Let go of laziness and unproductiveness inside you
It has been said, it’s good to spend a lazy day to recharge yourself and to maintain your efficiency. But don’t let it become your habit because it takes just 21 days to develop a new habit and months (sometimes years) to quit. Take short breaks and then back to your work.
8. Let go of your insecurities
Your insecurities may stop you from growing but all you have to remember is, we are our own harshest critics.

9. Let go of life’s inherent unfairness
Not every finger is equal and similar to this, not all humans born with a silver spoon. Remember, there will be some better person than you, always. So, stop crying about life’s inherent unfairness. Just focus on yourself and do what best you can do.
10. Let go of setting up too higher goals
It’s not bad to dream big and being ambitious, but you have to be grounded as well. Expecting too much from yourselves can make you disappointed. Set up your sights as far as you can achieve, then after achieving one, set up another goal then achieve it and so on.

11. Let go of the belief that everything comes to you at its time
There is a common myth that things come to you on time. I believe every one has its clock but it doesn’t mean you’ll stop doing and will wait for your destiny or fate. Take charge of your life and make a positive change. If you want something, go out and put efforts to achieve the same, don’t just wait that it’ll come to you.
12. Let go of postponing the things
Everyone has their responsibilities. Instead of postponing the things take responsibility and do your work at the required time. Deciding on doing the things the next day will do nothing for you but will raise your pressure and stress even higher.

13. Let go of living on your mistake
Everyone makes a mistake, people make the wrong decision once in a while in their lifetime. Like you choose to pursue a career in medical science but you wanted to be an engineer, but if medical science helps you to give more money and a better life. In such a case, just resolve the problems and not take the right decisions.
14. Let go of stress
Stress is a feeling of emotional or physical tension. Around 74% of people suffer from stress every year. The root cause of the stress is others or the stuff related to some other person or thing. But the fact is, your stress might be a great motivator if managed and taken smartly. The only problem is, don’t let the stress eat you for months and years.

15. Let go of expecting the people to be changed in your surroundings
Majority of people don’t even care about you, your opinion or your life. How can you then expect they are goanna change just for you? They won’t change, maybe they will but don’t expect or try to change the people around you. Otherwise, you’ll end up being disappointed. You could only be the inspiration for someone, make sure to take every step remembering this.
16. Let go of your worries about money
Earlier I used to worry a lot about money, then later I realized money can be earned anytime. Rather than chasing and worrying about money, chase the skills and learn more, the money will end up chasing you. Just believe in learning and keep one eye at the opportunities at the same time, you’ll see, your future is bright. If you have food to eat and a roof to sleep under, believe me, you’re lucky more than you think.

17. Let go of trying to become a different type of person
You might have already heard every person has self blessings, also called inner callings. Which implies you’re already unique and you have your clock and destiny. So, stop trying to become someone or some different type of person.
“You’re already a masterpiece, you only have to come to it.”
18. Let go of following your schedule
Planning and scheduling the tasks is great but being flexible is good too. Even I personally feel that being flexible can help you to boost your creativity and efficiency of doing things. Don’t let the worries eat you of following a strict schedule. As long as you’re productive, your to-do list will take care of itself.

19. Let go of your obsession with ‘stuff’
Materialistic things are limitless, if you’re updated today with some materialistic stuff, you’ll be outdated tomorrow for sure, since new stuff will come. We used to hand on to some new gadget as launched before everyone else, which is an unhealthy lifestyle. In this case, you have to remember and distinguish your priorities. Don’t let the pursuit of ‘stuff’ control your life.
20. Let go of the fear of speaking of what do you feel
Life is too short to keep your feelings within the walls and opportunities disappear within a blink of eyes. Decide not to keep your feelings to you only, speak what you feel, or talk about what’s bothering you. When you’ll do so, you’ll feel better and you will become a better version of yourself.

21. Let go of your temper
Anger might be a strong point at some places or at some point in your life but anger in daily life and more frequently is nothing but a worthless distraction that’s not good to have for any length of time.
22. Let go of making excuses
There is a famous proverb,
“If you’re want to make it happen, you’ll find a way otherwise, you’ll make an excuse.”
If you truly want to do something which is important to you, avoid making excuses instead, find the ways and be responsible.

23. Let go of feeling jealous towards someone in your life
Do you think, there would be anything worth less than jealousy? I had a girlfriend (ex now) but I never felt jealous of her for finding her love elsewhere, it’s her life and she is fully own the rights to make the decisions for her life, then why jealous?
Don’t even jealous that someone else in your link has bought something new which you don’t want and can’t pursue. Remember it’s you not anyone else, you have your own life and business to mind. Don’t waster your time and energy because of someone else.
24. Let go the worries about the future
Future is not certain but yes rooted with today. Don’t overstress about the future, just make sure you’re prepared for it. Worrying about the future will not do anything for you except leaving you with stress and disappointments. Believe in you and live the present at fullest.

25. Let go of the belief that it’s already too late
For this, I used to give you the example of Jack Ma who started late and today he is the co-founder of the world’s biggest e-commerce named Alibaba. Never let the passage of time to be an obstacle in finding new opportunities or to pursue your dreams. Those who dream are always younger.
